Our territory has a long-standing tradition with respect to wines and vineyards. Since the Etruscan times vines have been grown around Cortona and wine has always been part of our culture and economy. That’s why, when we had to choose names for Villa Loggio wines, we decided to honor this story by choosing Etruscan related names.
Female names for white wines and male names for red: so we chose names such as Tinia, the Etruscan god equivalent of Greek Zeus, Lucius, the fifth king of Rome with Etruscan origins, Curtun, the Etruscan name for Cortona, or Losna, the Etruscan goddess associated with the moon, oceans and tides…
